David’s main focus is to help clients plan for their retirement and build sustainable income plans during retirement by helping them build, protect and pass on their wealth.
During his career, David has been a trusted advisor to his clients in the areas of retirement planning, income planning, risk management, tax planning, estate planning strategies, investment management and general financial consulting. David follows the philosophy that “Ships down come in, they’re built” , recognizing that the time spent planning builds a solid and secure financial plan for now and into the future.
Since 1995, David has been called upon to train and mentor over 50 other financial professionals throughout the upper Midwest.
He is a native of Grand Forks, ND, lives in Owatonna, Minnesota. He holds Business Administration Degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of North Dakota. David has been involved in the community the last 40 years having served several terms on his church council, Owatonna Youth Hockey Board, Owatonna Blue Line Club, Southern Minnesota Express Junior Hockey Club. David also officiated the game of hockey for 40 years from the youth to college levels retiring in 2022 having officiated more than 2,500 hockey games.

He is licensed and registered with state securities and insurances regulators, as well as registered as an Investment Advisor Representative with Osaic Wealth.
He and his wife, Brenda, have four grown sons. He enjoys spending time at the lake boating/fishing with family and friends, watching hockey and playing golf occasionally.
